Fast growing commercial consultancy supporting clients across construction and infrastructure.
Location: Bridgend, South Wales
Full or part-time considered with salary pro rata
Salary: £30,000-£35,000 per annum
About the opportunity
We are looking for an organised, proactive Bid & Commercial Coordinator to support two key areas: helping contractor clients with tendering and commercial administration, and coordinating company's own bids and business opportunities.
Working closely with our Director and quantity surveying team, you will help turn enquiries into organised submissions, keep commercial information up to date and ensure deadlines are met.
The role
Supporting contractor clients
Coordinate tender documents, submission requirements and deadlines.
Prepare supplier questionnaires and compile supporting compliance information.
Request and track supplier and subcontractor quotations.
Maintain tender trackers, clarification logs and commercial records.
Support our quantity surveyors with payment application documentation, purchase order records and invoice tracking.
Liaise with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to obtain outstanding information.
Supporting in-house bids
Monitor tender portals and framework opportunities, highlighting suitable work for review.
Coordinate expressions of interest, framework applications and tender submissions.
Draft standard responses and bring together technical contributions from the team.
Maintain our bid library, including CVs, project case studies, references, policies and accreditation documents.
Format, proofread and check submissions against the tender requirements.
Track enquiries, proposals and follow-ups.
You will coordinate and prepare information, with pricing, technical advice and final submission approval provided by the Director or relevant commercial team member.
About you
We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly and keeps several deadlines moving at once.
You will have
Experience in bid coordination, commercial administration or a similar support role.
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail.
Confident written English, including drafting and proofreading.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
The confidence to follow up outstanding information professionally.
The ability to handle confidential client and commercial information carefully.
Experience within construction, infrastructure, engineering or professional consultancy would be an advantage. Familiarity with tender portals, supplier questionnaires and public sector procurement would also be useful.
A quantity surveying qualification is not required
